Palinka and Sausage Festival

kolbasz_palinka.jpg
The Hungarian website motto is: 'short drink, long sausage - this is good'

After the annual Wine Festival, the Buda Castle will be host to another truly Hungarian festival: Palinka and Sausage, brought to you by the Magyar Palinkamarketing Nonprofit Kft.

Festival will be held from October 10 - 12 on the Savoyan Terrace in the Castle District. You will be able to sample smoked Hungarian sausages and the spirit gaining in popularity of late, the traditional Hungarian: palinka.

There will be 20 different producers of the drink participating in the event, almost twice the number from last year. This is a wonderful opportunity for visitors to experience the traditional food and drink of Hungary, the unique recipes and procedures, secrets that go into producing a spirit that is given top billing among fine spirits worldwide.

Find out what is the difference between the contents and spices of the sausages made in the Gyula and the Csaba regions. There are many products on the market - here you will find authentic regional meat products.

For those of you unfamiliar with the spirit let me caution you, and those who are let me remind you - palinka is a STRONG spirit. Enjoy it accordingly.
