The Budapest Young Professionals met last night to listen to a presentation by Photographer Stephen Spinder about the makings of a worthy photo (the difference between taking a snapshot and creating a photo, as Stephen put it).
The venue was the brand new Kaledonia on Mozsar u., where we first enjoyed (almost unanimously) one of the best looking chicken ceasar salads this town has to offer - and it was at a bargain price!
What is a portrait? I thought this was.
Then we started adding interest - for instance, contrast as in this case.
...or playing with the background
and like so. Below - oh, forget the background, I was just grateful that Vesna sat still long enough that her photo was not a blur this time.
It was not only great fun, but also a valuable learning experience, good company and good food. Thank you Stephen for coming to join us! and thank you all for being willing participants. See you next time.
