Unholy Cows Graze on Budapest' Nerves

The life size, colorful cows that add to the cityscape should have been fun - as indeed they had been in other capitals.

Hungary is different. Here one cow became an unwelcome statement that the Catholic Church protested. Others drew the comments of passers by who did not hesitate to inscribe them onto the backs of these bovines.

I'm remembering Rodney here 'why can't we just get along.' It's just summer fun after all. Enjoy!

The critters are scattered around town and while I've seen only the ones near by - there are 50! So if you want to send in your photos, we could place them in a gallery.

Beauty Tip

Calendula Infused Soy Oil

Ingredients
1/2 cup dried calendula flowers
3/4 to 1 cup organic soybean oil
Vitamin E oil
Orange essence oil

Instructions:
Place flowers in an 8-ounce Mason jar; pour in soybean oil until jar is nearly full. Drizzle with Vitamin E oil and mix with a wooden stirrer. Seal jar tightly.

Place in a paper bag or cool, dark cupboard for at least two weeks to let herbs infuse the oil. With a wire mesh strainer, strain oil into a sterilized jar. Strain again through a cheesecloth or coffee filter.

Drizzle finished oil with 2 to 3 drops orange essence oil, if desired.
