Music for the Eyes

[inline:1]

Visiting Budapest - you love opera but couldn't get tickets? or if you like opera but can't sit still long enough for a performance? Don't give up entirely. The building is still worth a visit - the elegant architecture and decor of this neo-Renaissance building is well worth your time. The opera was designed by the then (deservedly) famous architect Miklos Ybl and officially opened its doors to the public in 1884.

Guided tours in English are held at 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. daily.
You may purchase your tickets at the Opera Shop.
